This holiday season, Wooberry is teaming up with the Worcester Art Museum to offer a special package available to Woocard holders only!

You can purchase a packet including entry to the Worcester Art Museum for two, as well as a $10 gift card to Wooberry.  Together this package would cost $38.00, but with your Woocard you can purchase it for $19!  You can buy these for a limited time during the holiday season at Wooberry, but you must have your Woocard.

Over the summer, Wooberry lost a member of its family – Aaron Coley.

Aaron attended Tatnuck Magnet Elementary School, Elm Park Community School, Forest Grove Middle School and Doherty Memorial High School. He graduated from Doherty on June 6, 2012. Aaron had made plans to attend Quinsigmond Community College in the autumn of 2012 and transfer to Worcester State University in the future. He was interested in pursuing an MBA, following in his father’s footsteps.

Aaron’s family remember him as an exceptionally intelligent and creative child from an early age. He also exhibited a gentle spirit and a kind heart. People will remember these qualities but also the offbeat sense of humor that shone through in many situations. He was enjoyable to be around; he had not a mean bone in his body. He was loved and will continue to be loved by many, many people.

On Thursday, June 21, while in a swimming pool, Aaron suffered a horrendous near drowning accident and was without oxygen for several minutes. He was severely injured and it was expected that he might not survive the night. Aaron was with us until his death on Friday, July 13, 2012.

Aaron was greatly loved and supported by his friends, family, an co-workers. His employer – Wooberry Frozen Yogurt – will be holding a special fundraiser on Friday, October 5^th, 2012. In light of this special event, Wooberry will be staying open extended hours: from 11am Friday to 2am Saturday morning.

Wooberry will be donating all the profits from the day’s event directly to the family.

Hot Chocolate at Wooberry!

When we decided to serve  hot chocolate at Wooberry, we took the process very seriously.  First, we took a field trip to Boston and tasted what are considered the best hot chocolates in the area (and a few considered the best in the country!)  When we had a good idea of what we wanted to do for Wooberry, we next contacted a variety of suppliers for cocoa powders, chocolates, milks, and tested what they have.  The end result?  Fantastic!

Wooberry Hot Chocolate is very high quality, made with just a few ingredients:  cocoa powder, raw brown cane sugar, vanilla, and milk.  We offer small and large sizes, and our popular house-made whipped cream comes with it, if you so desire.  (Speaking of the whipped cream, did you know that we use only heavy cream, sugar, and whole madagascar vanilla pods?  We hand-make make this fresh many times per day!)

You can get your hot chocolate with any topping you like for .50 per topping (just like the yogurt.)  So far, popular choices have been caramel, warm dark chocolate, peanuts, almonds, dark chocolate curls, fruity pebbles, and of course, rainbow jimmies, which are always free!

As fall heads in  to winter, we at Wooberry are keeping things seasonal.  Our extremely popular pumpkin run will run until Thanksgiving, and we’ve added dark chocolate covered ginger, Massachusetts maple syrup, and warm dark caramel to name a few toppings!

For Halloween itself, we added to our free toppings with Franken Berry, Boo Berry, Count Chocula, Pumpkin Seeds, and Candy Corn.  Our staff dressed up, and customers in costume got $1 off!

We are open and happy to be here!  After months of planning and construction, Wooberry opened its doors on August 10th.   (more…)
